Missouri's Department of Economic Development tapped Forrest Keeling Nursery as its 2007 Exporter of the Year.

Governor Matt Blunt presented the award in August at the Governor's Conference on Economic Development in Springfield, Missouri.

"Our nursery has seen a dramatic increase in export opportunities," stated Kim Lovelace-Young, the nursery's vice-president and general manager. "In our on-going work assisting China's reforestation project, we've already exported over 500,000 trees. This number could easily double in 2008, she concluded."
