The Bald Cypress Grove was the site of various demonstrations and the delicious lunch. Marv and PJ Marshall, RPM Ecosystems, Dryden, NY, are seen here visiting with attendees.

Forrest Keeling's Fall Field Day was a huge success. The traditional event, held Wednesday, September 10, 2008, was attended by over 200 industry professionals from across the Midwest and eastern U.S.

The day was as beautiful as it was packed to the brim with informative tours, demonstrations and presentations featuring new product offerings and programs. Three morning tours highlighted the nursery's seed orchard, new perennial program as well as the nursery's sustainability systems to reduce negative impact on the environment.

After a barbecue lunch in the Bald Cypress grove, Simon Barker, Barker Horticultural Services, heard his name announced as the winner of the event's grand prize drawing. Barker won the coveted $300 Visa gas card.

That afternoon, attendees boarded four air-conditioned buses for guided, off-site tours of RPM® success stories at Cuivre Island Conservation Area (Missouri Department of Conservation) and the Creech Family Homestead Farm. Both project consultants, Ken Dalrymple, MDC, and Dr. Gene Garrett, University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry, were on hand to assist with the guided tours.
