Forrest Keeling 2019 Fall Field Day

For Industry Professionals

Join us on Thursday, September 12 for our biannual field day. You'll learn the latest on specialty crops, our top-notch RPM native plants and improved green solutions you can apply to any project of any size.

The morning will start with two tracks of interactive workshops featuring nationally acclaimed speakers. Choose from hands-on classes about working, native landscapes, developing a profitable agroforestry venture and improving your soil's health and vitality. We will also host production tours spotlighting our acclaimed RPM production, seed orchard and pollinator plot.

In keeping with our theme, you'll enjoy a farm-to-table luncheon prepared by the creative Chef Kevin Willmann of Farmhaus Restaurant. Chef Kevin will be assisted by members of our local, award-winning Elsberry FFA to prepare scrumptious dishes featuring some of their livestock and produce.

After lunch, our keynote presenter, Sara Parker Pauley, Missouri Department of Conservation Director, will speak on her vision for uniting the urban and rural populations of our state to accomplish the far-reaching conservation goals of the MDC to better protect our state's air, water, soil and wildlife. Director Pauley will be followed by Sarah Lovell, Director of the Center for Agroforestry. Ms. Lovell wil speak on urban agroforestry as a multifunctional land strategy. We'll round out the afternoon's presentation with a panel discussing the latest advancements in improving soil health and vitality with enzymes, mycorrhizae, and more.

Network with colleagues and speakers in the cypress grove at the end of the day while enjoying refreshments including organic wines and Urban Chestnut beer.

Register now for the event.  Tickets are FREE but the information you'll gain is priceless. We can't wait to see you!
